In class we played a game named strato trade. The goal of the game is to get the most amount of point . Each turn you get 5 “random” tokens from a bag. These token are different colors and have different values. Here are the token in order of value red, white, green, blue, and yellow. After receive your 5 tokens you may trade. This gives a sense of human interaction because people won’t trade with you if the deal does not advantage them to. Finally, you tell your points after adding the total points from your tokens now you may risk to lie about your amount of points if you have. But if you get challenged and you really don’t have the amount of you said you had the you lose all the tokens you gained this round and the challenger gets them. But if you told the truth and someone challenges you, then they lose all the points they accumulated this round and you get them. These are more or less the rules and they make for a fun game.
After playing this game I know it’s all set up and that my teacher mr.G was choosing which tokens you were getting. When I found out that the game was set up I was really surprised, happy and angry with myself. I felt surprised because mr.G made the game look like something legit. By making up lies like this was created by mathematicians and sociologist. At the same time I was happy because it made me realize that the world is not as it seems and that the people on a higher level of power will not make your life easier if you on the bottom of the power ladder. I was also angry with myself because I did not think about it. I could probably have made links because I saw a drastic change in the tokens I was getting the lower I went into the tables. I could have also noticed it when I saw mr.G hide yellow tokens so I would not get them.
I think this relates to the real world because you can see a lot of things in this game that are also in the real world. For example, we can see that the “rich people will not make it easy for the “poor”. We can also see that the rich people are more concentrated on their self while the poor people are more all for 1 and 1 for all. If you don’t get the feeling I'm trying to share thinking about this. Your names Is Bob, and a rule is placed that all bob will gain one million dollars every day and that all Charles while losing 1 million dollars every day. If you're asked to choose to stop this law or continue it which will you take. I would answer No, because I'm making a lot of money so I don't care if someone else is not making money at all. This game relates to an everyday problem the problem of classes. Each class or Lower class, middle class and high class are in
